Mr Cruel – Evidence from photographs by Christian Bennett

Christian Bennett has written a manuscript analysing the Mr Cruel crimes. This manuscript was originally written in 2014 and has been updated several times. He has provided the manuscript to the Victoria Police. It has not been published previously on the internet. Christian has given us permission to publish sections of it here. Mr Cruel – Evidence from photographs is but one chapter from this manuscript.

We would like to thank Chrstian Bennett for his contributions to the ongoing research that is conducted in an attempt to determine who Karmein Chan’s murderer was. He has put in thousands of hours of research in order that one day, this man might be brought to justice. We look forward to continuing the dialogue with Christian in the future.

  1. Has anyone drawn a correlation between electricity substations and where one of the Mr Cruel main suspects (the uni lecturer) once worked in his early days….being Yallourn High.
Yallourn, Victoria was a company town in Victoria, Australia built between the 1920s and 1950s to house employees of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, who operated the nearby Yallourn Power Station complex.
It would be interesting to follow up if there are any similar unsolved cases involving children which occured in Yallourn at the time of the suspect living there.
